Bat-Safe XL
Designed by an aerospace engineer, the Bat-Safe charging box is an insulated double-wall steel case for safer battery charging. In the event of a battery fire, it can be the difference between a bad day and a catastrophic one.
The smoke and nasty soot created by a LiPo fire are filtered through a steel and fiberglass flame arrestor which also reduce the heat of the exhaust. Instead of completely sealing the container like many homemade charging boxes, which makes the fire more intense and pressurized, the Bat-Safe safely vents the heat and smoke in a controlled manner.
This XL version of the popular Bat-Safe and will easily handle four large 6S 6000mAh packs, or a small collection of standard FPV quad batteries.
Lithium batteries are an integral part of the hobby and as power demands increase so does the size and energy storage of the batteries. It may be rare, but there is always a chance for a LiPo to catch fire, especially if damaged or overcharged. The Bat-Safe will not necessarily prevent damage to surrounding objects - always follow the manufacturer's direction and never charge batteries unattended.
